“I teach a pre-med academy at Indio Middle School. My class of eighth graders has learned cardiology, optometry and dentistry. They’ll also be learning forensics and veterinary medicine. Some of them may become phlebotomists
someday and Community Blood Bank offers us the opportunity for these kids to view a phlebotomist in action. We’ve had about 14 blood drives since 2005 and the kids are great about bringing in parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and even their older brothers & sisters to donate blood.”
