About Us

The Community Blood Bank was founded in 1972 by Dr. Charles McCammon and Kathleen Hampton to serve the needs of the Coachella Valley, Banning, Beaumont, Blythe and the Hi-Desert area. We currently provide blood and blood products to Eisenhower Medical Center, John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Hi-Desert Medical Center, Palo Verde Hospital, and the Twentynine Palms Naval Hospital. We also supply other facilities such as various cancer and home transfusion services. We are located in California's Southern Desert Region, approximately two hours from metropolitan Los Angeles.
